My Comeback Story: Melodie Lee C.

On a beautiful day in July of 2022 I decided to get my horse and go riding. I went out to the pasture and caught my horse. There were 5 horses out there, lost track of were everyone was. I got slammed into by 2 other horses and got sent into a spin. I let go of my horse and hit the ground. When I went to Albany Med I didn't know what to expect as I've never been there. I had several surgeries from other orthopedic surgeons that didn't do what was supposed to happen. I was scared. Dr Chisena came in and said don't worry I'll can fix it and explained everything. It took 2 years, but was able to show my horse in a pleasure show at the county fair. Fast forward to 2026 I am planning to try barrel racing again just a little this year then maybe next year I can rejoin the national barrel horse association again. Thank you for everything and giving my horse time back to me. I have been enjoying trail riding. Time to get back to competing again
