My Comeback Story: Stephen R.

When I woke up in the recovery room one hour and forty minutes after I was put under anaesthesia, the pain I had been feeling in my back/neck for the past 9 months was gone. I had tried physical therapy for several months, nerve-block injections, and pain medications with no relief. I had a little discomfort in my throat, which went away in a couple of days, but no other pain or discomfort. I didn't need to take any of the post-surgery medications other than the throat spray. It is now seven weeks since the surgery and I am back playing pickleball, riding my bike, gardening, and living the life I thought I might not have.
