About

Dr. Keegan Cole is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow injuries and conditions, including nerve repair, nerve transfer surgery, and small joint arthroscopy. In his practice, he uses a patient-centered approach to offer each patient the time and energy they deserve to recover their mobility and functionality.

Dr. Cole earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He then attended Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree. After his orthopaedic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center in New York, he underwent a hand surgery fellowship at the renowned Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. There, he mastered advanced small joint arthroscopic techniques from pioneers in the field.

Committed to collaboration and sharing knowledge with other experts, Dr. Cole is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters and presented at national meetings. He is also proud to be a member of the Medical Committee for USA Climbing.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Cole enjoys road running, snow skiing, and rock climbing.

Dr. Cole is available to see patients at our Albany, Catskill, and Malta offices.
